The prehospital care qualifications at SJA training, will form part of a programme which means that you could become a paramedic in just 2 years.
Our regulated and nationally recognised prehospital care qualification is clinically endorsed by The Faculty of Pre-Hospital Care – The Royal College of Surgeons of Edinburgh, and fulfils the competencies set out in the Pre-hospital Emergency Medicine (PHEM) skills framework.

It is also fully recognised by the Security Industry Authority (SIA). Our practical courses are designed to allow learners to gain the practical skills and experience they need for their pre-hospital care roles and progress.

WHAT WILL I ACHIEVE?

Over a 5 day period, Learners will gain the knowledge, skills and competencies needed to deal with a range of Prehospital care emergencies, such as: managing a patient’s airways, catastrophic bleeding, management of fractures, medical emergencies and more. This Ofqual regulated pre-hospital care qualification is perfect for those who have a specific responsibility to respond to emergency situations. The qualification is approved by Qualsafe Awards (the UK’s largest Awarding Organisation for first aid qualifications) and is clinically endorsed by The Royal College of Surgeons of Edinburgh – Faculty of Pre-Hospital Care (FPHC). The Level 3 Certificate meets the FPHC criteria for descriptor ‘D’ provider on the PHEM Skills Framework.

The lifesaving skills taught are particularly suited to security staff, medical response teams, fire and police officers, industrial first aiders, healthcare providers and community responders.

 

Pre-hospital care qualifications

The fee includes all certification and registration, National Awards, all hand-outs and a hard copy to keep of The Royal College of Surgeons Edinburgh Pre-hospital Generic Core Material Emergency Care Course Book, this book is vital for compliment the FREC 3 and FREC 4.

LEVEL 3 First aid at work (RQF)

3 day COURSE

This course is suitable for those who need to be First Aiders in the Workplace in accordance with the Health and Safety at Work Act 1974.

This course can be adapted to suit a particular audience, for example, clerical or engineering staff.

Level 3 Award in Paediatric First Aid (RQF)

2 day course

Over a 2 day period, Learners will develop the skills and knowledge needed to deal with a range of paediatric first aid situations, including:

Assessing an emergency situation, dealing with an unresponsive infant or child, CPR, choking, meningitis, head and spinal injuries.

The QA Level 3 Award in Emergency First Aid at Work (RQF) is a regulated and nationally recognised qualification designed for those who have a specific responsibility at work, to provide first aid in a range of emergency first aid emergencies at work.
